Turkey's home appliances exports exceeded 2.5 billion dollars in the first 9 months of 2013.
While home appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, deep freezers, driers and ovens accounted for 2 billion 484 million 937 thousand dollars in exports during the first nine months of 2012, these figures increased 0.8 percent from January-September 2013, according to AA calculations based on data from the Istanbul Minerals and Metals Exporters Union (IMMIB).
While refrigerator and cooling appliances exports decreased 5.4 percent during the period, their exports still accounted for 37.4 percent of exports.
Seven European countries were among the ten countries to which exports in the sector were highest, with the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain ranking among the top importers.
The countries to which exports increased the most were Spain with 14.7 percent, Israel with 13.9 percent, Libya with 11.1 percent and Sweden with 8.1 percent.Last Mod: 29 Ekim 2013, 10:59
