Turkey's consumer prices index (CPI) rose 0.58% while the producer prices index (PPI) rose 1.94% in March.
The monthly inflation figures as announced Monday by TurkStat-Turkey's statistics authority, revealed that the annual rise in consumer prices as of March was 8.58%.
The rise in the producer prices in the last 12 months was 9.56%.
In Q1, rise in CPI was 3.93%, while the rise in PPI was 4.24%.
The highest monthly hike in prices by main expenditure groups was 3.14% in the CPI index for communication services, while the highest year-on-year increase as of March was 43.03% in the index for alcoholic beverages.
Month-on month rise was 2.79% in the PPI of agriculture and 1.76% in the index of industry.
PPI in agriculture increased 22.72% year on-year in March. The rise in the PPI of agriculture was 7.57% on the averages of last twelve months basis.
The highest monthly rise in the PPI of industrial activities was recorded in the index for basic metal industry with 9.73%.
