Turkey's iron-steel production increased 13.1 percent to 13.5 million tons in the first half of the year.

According to the World Steel Organization data, global production of iron-and-steel increased 27.9 percent to 706 million tons.

The People's Republic of China topped the list of countries producing the highest amount of iron-and-steel with 323 million tons. It was followed by Japan with 54.5 million tons and the USA with 41 million tons.
