Turkish Southeastern Anatolia's export to Middle Eastern countries reached $3.275 billion in first seven months of 2013 with an increase of 20%, compared to the same period of 2012.  

Southeastern Anatolia region exported a big amount of its $5.3 billion total export rate to Middle East in cereals, legumes, dried fruit, textile, carpet and other several sectors, according to Southeastern Anatolia Exporters Association (GAIB).

Iraq, with $2.5 billion is at the top of list, to where Southeastern Anatolia exported, where Saudi Arabia and Syria respectively follow Iraq as second and third.   

Export to Syria also increased 478% and reached $189 million between January and July in 2013 when compared to the same period of 2012.
