TAV Airports have received 9 points out of 10 from ISS Corporate Services for corporate governance.
According to a statement issued by TAV Airports, the company now ranks first among all other companies that are part of the Istanbul Stock Exchange with its corporate governance given 9 points by ISS Corporate Services.
TAV Airports executives believe that they received 9 points for corporate governance based on their steady growth.
TAV was established in 1997, as a joint venture between Tepe and Akfen Groups following the bid for the Istanbul Ataturk Airport International Terminal Contract.
Istanbul Ataturk Airport is one of the first samples of the airport operating projects in the world with "build-operate-transfer" model.
TAV is currently operating ten airports in Turkey, Georgia, Tunisia and Macedonia.
TAV terminals hosted 42 million passengers in 2009. The number of passengers in the airports operated by TAV increased 19 percent in the first quarter of 2010 when compared to the same period of 2009.
