Turkey's Treasury is planning to pay back over 50 billion Turkish Lira (US$23 billion) of debt and is therefore planning to hold a series of bond auctions in April.

Turkey’s Treasury is planning to pay back 51 billion Turkish Lira (US$23.3 billion) of domestic debt, including 3 billion Turkish Lira (US$1.36 billion) of foreign debt.

The domestic debt redemption projected by the Treasury for April to June 2014 is 48 billion Turkish Lira (US$22 billion), while domestic borrowing is 39.6 billion Turkish Lira (US$18 billion).

It showed that that domestic debt redemption for April is projected to be 16.4 billion Turkish lira (US$7.5 billion), while domestic borrowing is expected at 13.7 billion Turkish Lira (US$6.3 billion).

In May 2014, domestic debt is projected to be 14.7 billion Turkish Lira (US$6.7 billion), while domestic borrowing is projected to reach 12.2 billion Turkish Lira (US$5.6 billion).

Finally, June figures show domestic debt at 16.9 billion Turkish Lira (US$7.7 billion), and domestic borrowing at 13.7 billion Turkish Lira (US$6.3 billion).
