Turkish exports to Syria hit $62.5 million in August 2013 with a rise of 132.3% compared to the same month last year.

According to the data AA compiled from the Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM), Turkish exports to Syria rose by 2.3 times in Agusut 2013 compared to August 2012, despite the trend of a decrease in recent years of total exports to Syria,

During the first 8 months of 2013, Turkish exports to Syria increased 37% and reached $497.6 million compared to the same period last year.

- Exports to Egypt also increased in August

Turkey also increased its exports to Egypt, as total experts to Egypt reached $344.3 million in August 2013 with a rise of 14% compared to August 2012.

Turkish exports to Egypt, covering the period between January and August 2013, shrank by 8% to $2.3 billion compared to same period of 2013.
