Turkish stock market index has dropped sharply.
The National-100, main index of the Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE), saw 49,000 points for the first time in 17.5 months.
The index fell 2,561.01 points to 49,722.49 in the first half of the morning session.
After closing at 56,265.52 points on Friday, the index dropped 3,982.02 points to 52,283.50 on Monday.
As of 11:25 a.m. on Tuesday, the index stands at 49,722.49 points with a decrease of 2,561.01 points or 4.9 percent.
