Turkish-U.S. Business Council established

Turkey and the U.S. agreed on the establishment of joint industrial zones in both countries as well as in third countries on Monday.

Undersecretary of Turkey's Economy Ministry, Ahmet Yakici, said Monday that Turkey and the United States established a mechanism on Monday with the name "Economic and Commercial Strategic Partnership Frame".

Speaking at a press conference held on the occasion of the establishment of the Turkish-U.S. Business Council, Yakici said that they would work so as to carry economic and commercial relations with the U.S. to the desired level.

"The Business Council we have established with the U.S. will contribute to our bilateral trade relations and to the trade of third countries," Yakici said.

Also speaking at the press conference, U.S. Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, Francisco Sanchez, said that they wanted to increase their trade volume of 15 billion USD with Turkey by three folds in the near future.
