A Turkish joint venture group offered the highest bid with 228 million dollars in the privatization of Dicle Electricity Distribution company in a tender on Monday.
The highest offer came from Karavil Consumer Durables Construction Automobile, Oil and Production Marketing Industry and Trade Co. Ltd- Ceylan Construction and Trade Incorporated Company Joint Venture Group.
A total of 5.7 billion income earned with the tenders of four electricity distribution companies on Monday.
Currently six private electricity distribution companies are active in 26 provinces.
When these four electricity distribution companies are added to the companies in question, there will be 16 private electricity distribution companies in 63 provinces and share of private sector in the market will reach to 75 percent.
Turkey's Aksa Electric, an affiliate of the AKSA Energy Group. , placed the highest offer with $622 million in an auction to sale a state-run electricity distribution company.
Aksa Electric prevailed over five competitors in the sale of the Trakya Electric Distribution Co., a part of the Turkish Electricity Distribution Corporation (TEDAS).
The initial bidding in the 11-round auction opened at $580 million.
