Turkey's statistics authority, TurkStat, on Wednesday said consumer prices index (CPI) dropped 0.41 percent in July when compared with June.
TurkStat said producer prices were down by 0.03 percent in the same month.
Latest Central Bank survey showed that consumer prices were expected to rise 0.05 percent in July. However, market expectation stood at a level from 0 to -0.08 percent.
TurkStat also that said annual CPI as of July 2011 was 6.31 percent and the annual PPI was 10.34 percent.
In first 7 months, consumer prices rose 3 percent and 12-month inflation stood at 6.37 percent. Producer prices increased 6.18 percent since the beginning of the year. 12-month rise in producer prices was calculated as 9.59 percent.
