The U.S. stock market opened mixed Wednesday with gains and losses in technology companies' stocks.
The Dow increased by 9 points to start the day at 22,651 points.
The S&P 500, however, fell less than a point to open flat at 22,651 points, and the Nasdaq lost 5 points to begin trading at 6,526 points.
Shortly after the first bell, global streaming and entertainment company Netflix saw its shares jump 3.1 percent.
Apple and Microsoft had their stock price decrease 0.8 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively.
