The Liberal, Labour, Social Liberal and Green-Left parties will start talks on Monday to form a left-of-centre coalition government, after last month's Dutch election, Liberal leader Mark Rutte said on Saturday.
Rutte, whose party won the June 9 election, told the news agency ANP he was prepared to begin coalition talks after meeting the leaders of the three other parties and Herman Tjeenk Willink, an adviser to the queen.
"After various informal talks, I dare to enter the (coalition) talks," Rutte was quoted as saying, despite having said last week that he saw no prospect of such talks.
