Greek Cypriot President Demetris Christofias said on Thursday he had no intention of resigning as political turmoil swirled over a massive munitions blast on July 11.

"Of course not," Christofias told journalists when asked if he planned to resign. "The people elected me, and it is to the people that I am accountable. Not to media."
