A member of the UK’s far-right English Defence League has been fined after pleading guilty to abusing Asians at a rally in the city of Bradford. However, there is one catch. The member happens to be a Muslim of Asian background.
43-year-old Abdul Rafiq, 43, was charged with using threatening language and behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress, although he was not issued an Anti-Social Behaviour Order.
Rafiq, of Glasgow, was arrested after getting involved in an argument with some Asian men who objected to him being a member of the EDL. Rafiq then pulled out a Union Jack flag from his bag and started to swear at the men at an EDL rally on 12 October.
According to the Yorkshire Post, Rafiq was fined £110 after admitting the public order offence.Last Mod: 31 Ekim 2013, 13:40
