Norwegian police have ended the search for bodies near Utoeya island, where 68 people were shot dead last week, a senior officer said on Thursday.

Norwegian police have ended the search for bodies near Utoeya island, where 68 people were shot dead last week, a senior officer said on Thursday.

"The search at Utoeya has been completed," Chief of Staff Johan Fredriksen told a news conference.

Anders Behring Breivik killed a total of 76 people six days ago in the shooting spree at Utoeya and in a bombing in Oslo that killed eight people.
