Police in the German city of Munich reopened two train stations early Friday as authorities continued to investigate an alleged New Year's Eve terror plot by ISIL suicide bombers.
Earlier heavily armed police teams had cordoned off Munich central station after police in southeastern German city have evacuated two train stations on the New Year's Eve, due to a possible terrorist threat.
“Munich police deal with the threat of a terror attack in the region after receiving serious information,” police said in a Facebook post, and called on all citizens to avoid large crowds in public places.
“According to the current information, which we take very serious, there is an attack planned tonight,” police said in its statement.
