Slovakians have begun voting in polls to select their president in a second round of elections.

Polling stations opened at 7:00 on Saturday for voters to choose between incumbent Prime Minister Robert Fico and his rival Andrej Kiska.

The polls close at 22:00 and official results are expected to be announced on Sunday after confirmation by the Central Election Committee.

Every Slovakian who reaches age of 18 on the day of the elections can vote during the presidential election, which takes place once in five years.

At the first round on March 15, Fico received 28 percent of the vote and Kiska 24 percent.

The winner will become the country's fourth president.
