Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek said on Tuesday that the decision on starting the process of establishing the Southeast Europe Assembly was made.
Cicek attended the 10th Conference of Presidents of Parliament of the Southeast Europe in the Macedonian province of Ohrid.
Following the conference, Cicek said the decision on starting the process of establishing the Southeast Europe Assembly was made during the last session of the conference, adding that the decision would contribute to building peace and stability in the region as well as strengthening good neighbour relations.
Issues related to organizational structure and budget of the Southeast Europe Assembly will be handled under the Romania presidency.
