King Juan Carlos of Spain and an accompanying delegation arrived in Kuwait on Tuesday for a two-day official visit.
During his stay, the Spanish monarch will hold talks with Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwait's KUNA news agency reported.
Juan Carlos' delegation includes Defense Minister Pedro Morenes; Public Works Minister Ana Pastor Julian; Industry, Energy and Tourism Minister Jose Manuel Soria; and other senior Spanish officials.
The Spanish king also plans to visit Oman and Bahrain later this month – along with Saudi Arabia and Qatar in May – as part of a drive aimed at boosting Spain-Gulf relations.
Observers say the king's current tour hopes to draw Gulf investment to Spain as part of efforts to bolster the country's moribund economy.Last Mod: 15 Nisan 2014, 17:04
