Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag on Monday met Turkish families aggrieved by the practices of judical system in Belgium pledging to support them at the Turkish Consulate General in Antwerp, in the region of Flanders, Belgium.
Bozdag criticized Belgium's judicial system regarding the killings of two children of a Turkish family in Brussels who had to wait for more than 2.5 years for the funeral of their children adding that "There is no such dramatic example anywhere in the world."
"This is a torture in the heart of Europe. This is not fair. This is a torture to the corpse and its family. Does Belgium not apply human rights-" said Bozdag. " There is violation of human rights in the heart of Europe. No one raises his or her voice. When human rights get violated in Europe, is it not a violation of right-"
The bodies of two Turks murdered in Belgium in 2010 had been held in the morgue for 937 days due to a slow judicial process.
