The Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot leaders met at the buffer zone in Cyprus for the fourth time on Friday.

President Dervis Eroglu of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias met to discuss property issue within the scope of ongoing negotiations aiming to find a settlement to Cyprus problem.

In their previous meeting on June 23, leaders made new proposals regarding property.

The Greek Cypriot media had written that Eroglu was working to give priority to compensation, whereas Christofias was prioritizing return of territories under the topic of property.

Eroglu met United Nations (UN) Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in New York on June 28 and said TRNC was willing to find a solution to Cyprus question till the end of 2010.
In his meeting with the UN secretary general, Eroglu had proposed to hold a trilateral meeting among Ban, Christofias and himself in September.

Eroglu's predecessor Mehmet Ali Talat and Greek Cypriot leader Christofias got together 71 times under the extensive settlement talks, which began on September 11, 2008. Their last meeting took place on March 30.

Dervis Eroglu was elected the new president of TRNC on April 18, and has held three meetings with Christofias.
