Endless war, economic difficulties, destitution, poor living standards have forced many Afghanis to leave their countries. After leaving their country many people have struggled to stand on their own feet in foreign countries. Turkey is one of the countries which creates some opportunities for those who have suffered. 657 Afghani immigrants who have settled in Turkey, have been directed to proper courses by governorships to make a living. The eastern Turkish province of Erzincan can be shown as one of the best examples of these cities in the world.

With the purpose of involving Afghani immigrants into the social life and to help them gain abilities which will let them earn their livings, the Erzincan governorship organizes some vocational courses.

Twenty five Afghani women attend a copper crafting course in the Public Education Center of the Erzincan governorship. Training four hours every day, women will graduate after completing two hundred and forty eight hours of the course.

"We have been hosting six hundred and fifty eight Afghanistan citizens for two years in our province. There is no certain schedule determining the return date of them. So along with financial aids, we have arranged several activities to help them contribute their family budgets. Twenty five Afghani women who attend to this course will be able to make copper handcrafts and sell them. We prefer "teaching how to catch fish instead of giving the fish," I hope our projects may serve as a model to entire Turkey and world." stated Erzincan Governor Abdullah Çiftçi.
