Canada sees 'progress' despite loss against New Zealand

Coach of the Canada's national basketball team Leo Rautins seemed happy with his squad's performance on Wednesday despite a 71-61 loss against New Zealand in a Group D game in the 2010 FIBA World Basketball Championship in Izmir.

"Regardless of the result, we are making progress and continuing on our path. We did everything we can today," Rautins told reporters in a press meeting after the match in Izmir's Halkapinar Sports Arena.

New Zealander coach Nena Vucinic said his team had hard times in responding to Canada's performance in rebounds.

"Nevertheless, we are happy to win the game," Vucinic said
