The death toll from clashes between Turkish security forces and PKK terrorists in the southeastern Hakkari province in Turkey has risen to four, the Turkish General Staff said on Sunday.
Three soldiers had been martyred Saturday and six soldiers were wounded in the clashes that took place during an operation against the PKK terrorist organization in the village of Daglica in the district of Yuksekova.
In a statement, the army said a soldier in critical condition had died on Sunday.
The PKK -- designated a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU -- renewed its armed campaign against the Turkish state this summer.
Since July, more than 150 members of security forces have been martyred while, according to the government, more than 2,000 PKK terrorists have been killed.
