Governor Mehmet Kiliclar of central Anatolian province of Eskisehir has been appointed by proxy as the Chief of Security Department on Monday.
Kiliclar told A.A that he would begin his term in office in capital Ankara on Tuesday, adding that he would do his best to be successful.
Born in 1965 in northern province of Tokat, Kiliclar graduated from Economy Department of Ankara University in 1984. He was the governor of the southeastern province of Mardin between 2005 and 2008, and was appointed as the governor of Eskisehir in 2009.
Kiliclar, married with two children, replaced former chief of Security Department Oguz Kaan Koksal who resigned from his post and was elected parliamentarian in recent general elections.
