Chairman of the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Thursday the tolerance shown to the PKK by certain countries, despite warnings, proofs, documents and information given by Turkey, make the Turkish nation sad.
Speaking to guests at the Fourth Traditional Fast-Breaking Meal at AK Party HQ in Ankara, Prime Minister Erdogan said that Turkey expected solidarity, sincerity and solid steps against PKK used as a subcontractor.
Touching on the May 31 deadly Israeli attack on Gaza-bound aid flotilla in which Israeli commandos killed eight Turks and an American of Turkish origin, Prime Minister Erdogan said that Israel had to accept its mistake.
Israel must apologize and pay compensation (to the families of the killed and wounded individuals), Erdogan stressed.
In regard to Iraq, Prime Minister Erdogan said that Turkey will continue to support all efforts in order to establish tranquility, stability and welfare in this country.
