French coach Vincent Collet said on Tuesday that there were times when Canada deserved to win the match.

Speaking at a news conference following the match which France defeated Canada 68-63 in Group D of the FIBA 2010 World Basketball Championship, Collet said the match was difficult for them but they won the match in the end.

Appearing at the same news conference, Canadian Coach Leo Rautins said they were defeated in the match despite their good play.

"I am pleased over my players and the team. Our defense was also good, however we were defeated with a slight difference," Rautins said.

France defeated Canada 68-63 in Group D of the FIBA 2010 World Basketball Championship in Izmir on Tuesday.
