An Italian rider has won the fifth stage of the 47th Presidential Tour of Turkey.

Matteu Rabottini of Italy from England's Farnese Vini-Neri Sottoli team finished 218.6-kilometer stage in the 47th Presidential Tour of Turkey in 5:51:25, and became the winner.

Alexander Efimkin from the USA's Team Type 1 ranked second while Enrico Magazzini from Italy's Lampre-ISD team came on the third place.

The winners received their awards from the governor of western province of Mugla, Fatih Sahin.

The 1,387-km tour, which is the first ever intercontinental cycling event, features 22 teams and 176 professional cyclists this year.

The tour will end on May 1 in Alanya in southern Turkey.
