Jordan says loses against 'strong team' in Serbia game

The coach of Jordanian national basketball team said on Monday that he was not surprised with today's match result as his team played against great players.

Commenting on his team's losing against Serbia in a Group A game on the third day of the ongoing World Basketball Championship, Jordan's coach Mario Palma said his team had made a lot of mistakes and lost balls for 17 times throughout the game.

Noting that Jordan competed with one of the best teams of the world today, Palma said, "When you confront great players, the result will be like this".

Serbian national team's coach Dusan Ivkovic also told reporters that time had been on their side during today's game.

Ivkovic said his team's victory against Jordan showed that Serbia had a lot more to display in basketball.

Serbia defeated Jordan 112-69 in Group A of the FIBA 2010 World Basketball Championship in the central Anatolian province of Kayseri on Monday.
