Turkish journalist Didem Tuncay who was wounded at the US Embassy blast in Ankara will undergo an eye surgery on Friday.

Turkish Minister of Health Mehmet Muezzinoglu visited the diplomatic correspondent in the Turkish capital Ankara on Thursday. The respected journalist Tuncay was seriously wounded in suspected suicide bombing at the US Embassy in Ankara on February 1.

Turkish Minister Muezzinoglu told reporters after his visit to Tuncay that she would be operated from her eye.

Replying questions upon her surgery, Tuncay's doctors reminded that she lost vision in one eye not her eye itself.

Doctors added that, Friday's operation was planned to preserve the physical appearance of the journalist's eye.

DHKP-C organization claimed the suicide bomb attack on February 1 at US Embassy which killed the suicide bomber and a security guard and wounded a Turkish journalist.
