'Save Jerusalem Friday' protests underway in Turkey

Gatherings are being held in the Turkish capital city Ankara and Istanbul in against the military coup in Egypt and the Israeli occupation of Al-Quds (Jerusalem).

Protesters have gathered in the Turkish capital city of Ankara outside Kocatepe Mosque, aswell as outside the Fatih Mosque in Istanbul, to mark the 100th day since Egyptian coup forces massacred hundreds of demonstrators in Cairo’s Rabia al-Adawiyyah Square.

They are also protesting against the Israeli occupation of Jerusalem, in a demonstration they have called ‘Save Jerusalem Friday’, a title given on the request of the Muslim Scholars Union.

Smaller protests are also taking place outside mosques all over the country following the Friday prayers.
