Slovenia on Sunday upset Australia to victory with a 87-58 win in the round of last 16 in the 2010 World Basketball Championship in Istanbul, advancing to the quarter finals.

Mehmed Becirovic, coach of Slovenia's national basketball team, said Sunday that they were happy over the win after defeating Australia 87-58 in an Istanbul game in the round of last 16 in the 2010 World Basketball Championship.

Becirovic told a news conference that they got prepared a lot for the match and they played well against their rivals.

Brett Brown, coach of Australia, said he was sorry that his team was eliminated and congratulated Slovenia.
