Slovenian national basketball team's coach said on Monday that his team got an important victory against Croatia at the World Basketball Championship today.

Speaking at a press conference held after the Sloveania-Croatia game in Istanbul, Slovenia's technical director said Slovenian spectators supported their team with great enthusiasm, adding he was very happy with his team's success.

Commenting on today's game, Croatia's coach Josip Vrankovic noted that tall players' foul problems put his team into trouble.

Vrankovic said, although Croatia displayed a good performance in the first quarter, foul decisions about tall players prevented rebounds.

Earlier on Monday, Slovenia defeated Croatia 91-84 in Group B of the FIBA 2010 World Basketball Championship in Istanbul.
