The economy of Palestine to be discussed in Istanbul

The conference on "The Role of Trade for the Development of Palestinian Economy" will be held in Swissotel in Istanbul on October 24 by support of Turkish Ministry of Economy and the European Commission.

Turkish Minister of Economy Zafer Caglayan and Palestinian Minister of Trade and Industry Jawad Naji Hirzallah will make the opening speeches of the conference.

The two ministers will also pen a protocol to establish the "Economic Cooperation Council of Turkey-Palestine."

The problems and the future of Palestinian economy will be extensively evaluated within the scope of the conference, to which notably the delegations of European Union (EU), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and International Labor Organization (ILO) will attend.

The delegations of several countries such as Jordan, Egypt, Morocco and Mediterranean countries will also attend the conference.
