Turkey and Poland to design 'commemorative money'

Turkish bank note printing house and Polish Central Bank will start a common 'commemorative money' project, regarding the 600th anniversary of Turkish-Polish diplomatic relations.

In both countries, money design competitions will be organized as part of the project, where designs of both winners will be printed as 'pair of money' and sold in each country, Bank Note Printing House statement said.

Applications for the competition will be received between January 27 and February 10, 2014 and results will be announced on February 18, 2014. 

List of conditions and application form will be published on the website of Bank Note Printing House.

The jury will consist of Bank Note Printing House officials, experts and representatives of universities.  

The design of the winner will be awarded with 6,000 liras and a 'certificate of achievement'. If two designs of two different participants will be chosen to be printed on both sides of the money, the award will be divided between these two participants.
