Turkey banned hunting of some 107 out of 146 game animals, Turkey’s Forestry and Water Affairs Ministry said.
There are currently 38 species in Turkey whose hunting is allowed, seven of them are mammals and 31 of them are poultries.
In case of illegal hunting, the ministry imposes a 50 to 60 lira fine per one animal.
Some 717 wild species live in Turkey, and 506 of them are under the protection of the ministry. Turkey has three biogeographical regions out of a total of 37 in the world.
