One thousand tonnes of flour were sent to Syrians living in difficult conditions by the IHH Humanitarian Aid Foundation and Britain based Human Appeal organization on Saturday.
The flour were sent in 40 trucks from the southern province of Adana.
This was the biggest convoy of trucks sent to Syria in a single occasion.
In addition, cards are being distributed to Syrian nationals who fled the civil war in Syria and are now living in the southern province of Gaziantep.
The Syrians can use the cards to meet their health, food and other needs.
Coordinator Governor Veysel Dalmaz underlined that they wanted to make sure that Syrian guests did not feel foreign in Turkey.
Turkish Red Crescent Aid Society also provides daily meal boxes to 17,000 Syrians who have had to leave behind their homes due to the civil war and take shelter in tents at the Turkish border.
The meal boxes include cheese, butter, olives, jam and chocolate.
