Turkey-Mediterranean 'youth peace ship' to depart on Friday

A Turkey-Mediterranean 'youth peace ship,' with 800 peace envoys from 50 countries, will set sail on Friday to Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Tunisia.

As part of the 90th anniversary of the Turkish Republic, the 'Turkey-Mediterranean Youth Peace Ship' will depart from Turkey's Istanbul early Friday to reach its first destination, Croatia.  

Turkish Minister of Youth and Sports Suat Kilic sent off the ship, including 800 peace envoys from 50 countries, on October 29 from Salipazari Harbour.

The ship is scheduled to reach Croatia's Dubrovnik on Friday at 6 a.m. (EET). 

After a city tour, the youths they will travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina's Mostar city by land. 

Peace envoys will then depart for Tunisia by sea.
