Turkey to take on Serbia at semi-finals in FIBA games

The Turkish national basketball team, also known as the "12 Giant Men", will play against Serbia on Saturday in an effort to qualify for finals in the ongoing 2010 World Basketball Championship hosted by Turkey.

The semi-final game between Turkey and Serbia will kick off at 9:30 p.m. in Istanbul and will be broadcast live by the private NTV channel.

The Turkish national basketball team seized the opportunity to play at semi-finals in the World Basketball Championship for the first time after beating Slovenia at quarter finals.

If Turkey defeats Serbia at tomorrow's game, it will qualify for finals of the world championship for the first time in its history.

Turkey has so far won all of its 7 games in the world tournament.

The Giant Men, who have completed the preliminary round as the group leader and without any defeats, beat France in the second tour and finally upset Slovenia at quarter finals.
