The first luge tracks in Turkey will be ready for service in 2013 winter in eastern province of Erzurum.
The luge tracks, 1053 meters long, will serve during the summer as well.
Governer of the eastern Kars province Eyup Tepe spoke to AA, saying the project was carried out in cooperation with Turkish Bobsleigh Federation.
Tepe reminded the members of the Technical Committee that Presidency of International Ski Federation examined the area where the new luge tracks would be inaugurated.
Stating that the first stage would serve for the professionals while the second stage was planned to serve for the public, Tepe said "We will try to complete the luge tracks before winter time and promote it by organizing championships."
Tepe said those projects would attract more tourists to Sarikamis reviving the region.
