Turkish arms manufacturer Sarsilmaz has introduced what it said the country's first indigenous design infantry rifle and submachine gun.
The company's light assault rifle SAR 223 and its submachine gun TE 54 were manufactured in compliance with NATO standards, Latif Aral Alis, Sarsilmaz Arms Industry's president told reporters in an official launching event on Monday.
"We have manufactured the newest generation and the most advance infantry rifle in the world. For its high quality and competitive price tag, we will quickly sell more SAR 223s than side arms," Alis stated.
Alis said that specifications of new generation guns show that infantry rifle and submachine gun can compete in global market, adding that the company exported its products to 72 countries.Last Mod: 06 Mayıs 2013, 18:05
