Russian Izvestiya newspaper reports that Turkish Airlines is reviewing the issue of banning the sale and use of alcohol on flights to and from Russia.
According to information given to Izvestiya by the Istanbul office of Turkish Airlines, the company was forced to this initiative due to the out-of-control behavior of drunk Russian passengers aboard aircraft.
Due to scandals during flights, 28 Russian citizens were detained by Turkish police in 2012 alone.
Izvestiya reports that "There is no use in alerting Russians passengers to control alcohol consumption when they are on a flight. For this reason, the company is thinking of taking more drastic measures to ensure the safety of flights.”Last Mod: 26 Nisan 2013, 14:16
