Turkish athletes clinch three gold medals in Saturday's events at the European Athletics Championship in Helsinki, Finland.

Turkey's Gulcan Mingir claimed the top title at women's 3,000m steeplechase in 9:32.96. Ukraine's Svitlana Schmidt came in second and Germany's Antje Möldner-Schmidt came in third.

Polat Kemboi Arikan won men's 10,000m in a time of 28:22.27 to add a gold to the 5000m bronze he won four days earlier. Italian athlete Daniele Meucci placed second and Russia's Yevgeniy Rybakov came in third.

Turkey's Nevin Yanit won the gold at women's 100m hurdles in 12.81. Alina Talay of Belarus won silver with 12.91 and her compatriot Ekaterina Poplavskaya placed third with 12.97.
