Turkey’s Chief of Staff said that a SU-24 plane belonging to Syria was chased away by Turkish f-16 fighter jets.
Turkish F-16 fighter jets was sent to the Turkish-Syrian border to ward off an approaching Syrian SU-24, which changed course just 5.2 miles away from the the border.
According to the Chief of Staff website, six F-16s were engaging in test flights over international airspace in the Aegean. Two F-16s were sent to patrol the Syrian border after reports of a Syrian SU-24 heading towards the area.
