Turkish national football team will play against Austria in a friendly match ahead of their World Cup qualification campaign in the Austrian capital of Vienna on Wednesday.

Jan Valasek of Slovakia will referee the friendly game which will kick off at 21:30 Turkish local time at Ernst Happel Stadium.

The Austria friendly marks the third game the national team will play under new coach Abdullah Avci. Turkey lost home game 2-1 against Slovakia and beat 3-1 Georgia earlier this year after Avci was appointed as coach.

The national team squad got chances due to unexpected injuries. Team's goalkeeper Fenerbahce's Volkan Demirel was replaced by Besiktas's young goalkeeper Cenk Gonen after he was injured during the Fenerbahce-Galatasaray Turkish Football Federation Super Cup match on Sunday evening.

Fenerbance's defender Gokhan Gonul has also been laid-off following an injury during Champions League qualifier against Romanian club Vaslui.

Kerim Frei, English club Fulham's midfielder, might get his feet wet in the Senior squad after being selected by coach Avci.

The squad:

Fehmi Mert Gunok, Hasan Ali Kaldirim, Bekir Irtegun, Egemen Korkmaz, Caner Erkin, Mehmet Topal (Fenerbahce), Semih Kaya, Selcuk Inan, Burak Yilmaz, Hamit Altintop, Umut Bulut (Galatasaray), Ismail Koybasi, Mustafa Pektemek, Cenk Gonen (Besiktas), Tolga Zengin (Trabsonspor), Omer Toprak (Bayer 04 Leverkusen), Arda Turan, Emre Belezoglu (Atletico Madrid), Gokhan Tore (Rubin Kazan), Kerim Frei (Fulham), Nuri Sahin (Real Madrid), Sercan Sararer (Greuther Furth), Mevlut Erdinc (Rennais) and Tunay Torun (Stuttgart).
