Turkish security forces killed a militant Tuesday in Refahiye town of the eastern province of Erzincan.

In a written statement released Tuesday, the Erzincan Governor's Office said that the militant was killed in a clash between Turkish security forces and a group of militants.

Security operations in the region continue.
