Two soldiers were killed in a clash with PKK militants in the southeastern province of Diyarbakir.

Diyarbakir Governor Mustafa Toprak told AA on Wednesday that a sergeant and a specialized sergeant were killed in a clash with terrorists near Lice town of Diyarbakir this morning.

Meanwhile, a land mine, which was planted by terrorists, detonated and collapsed the road near Kayacik district of Diyarbakir-Bingol highway, he added.

Toprak said that security operations were under way in the region.
