United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres is set to pay a visit in Turkey on March 9-12, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said Friday.      

Guterres will hold talks with Turkish officials including Deputy Prime Minister Besir Atalay, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Interior Minister Muammer Guler as well as with the head of Turkey's emergency management agency and president of the Turkish Red Crescent Society.      

The UN refugee chief's talks are expected to address mainly the situation of Syrians refugees in Turkey and ways for cooperation between the Turkish government and the UN refugee agency.      

Guterres is also expected to visit a refugee camp in the southeastern province of Gaziantep.
