World Wrestling Championships end in Turkey

The World Wrestling Championships ended in Istanbul on Sunday.

Turkey won one gold, one silver and two bronze medals in Greco-Roman style, and one silver medal in free style. Turkey ranked the second in Greco-Roman style and tenth in free style as a team in the championships.

Riza Kayaalp, competing in men's 120 kg category, won the only gold medal of Turkey by defeating all his opponents in Greco-Roman style.

Selcuk Cebi, in men's 74 kg, won silver medal, while Nazmi Avluca, in men's 84 kg, and Cenk Ildem, in men's 96 kg, won bronze medals in Greco-Roman style. Serhat Balci, in men's 96 kg, won silver medal, in free style. Thus, Turkey guaranteed to join Olympics in five categories in wrestling.
